Kristi Bugg B.S., R.N. (to be in May), O.C.N. (2 years from now)

It's official! I got my first nursing job at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA. What a relief to know that I will be starting my dream career in oncology at such an awesome hospital.
FYI: O.C.N. means Oncology Certified Nurse

10 billion 12 hour shifts is all it takes.

I have to have a minumum of 12 months of experience as an RN and 1,000 hours of oncology nursing practice (on the floor) within a 30 month time period in order to qualify to take the OCN exams. I also have to get my chemo certifications before taking the exam, in which I will have to attend some classes/seminars to learn how to give chemo (which will take approx 2 years)and then practice while I'm at work. So, yeah, I will be doing continuing education for a while still.

And DARN, I could have got $2500 if you signed at StJohns, of course you know about the $7500 you would have got.
