why is there a coma between "meant" and "shit"? And there are no comas in various other places that there should be? A little proof reading please.

I, Randy, am not an Elvis fan.

"I wasn’t just a fan, I was his brother. Last time I saw Elvis alive was at Graceland. We sang ‘Old Blind Barnabus’ together, a gospel song. I love him and hope to see him in heaven. There’ll never be another like that soul brother." – James Brown.

"On a scale of one to ten, I would rate Elvis eleven." – Sammy Davis Jr.

Look here and here
for a more legitimate account of the man.

Here is a working version of the first link in the message above.

i just thought the quote was a nice contrast to the first. i never met elvis or talked to him, so i can't actually say if he was racist or not.

blogger doesn't let me edit comments, or i would've corrected the grammar seconds after posting.

I would have been nicer if you would have edited some of the verbage.

why?

I don't think that my mother, mother in law, or others reading this blog like your comment because it dropped the f-bomb. Keep it clean, kids, keep it clean!

Kristi says it nicely. Vulgar/Foul/Inappropriate/Suggestive etc. language is offensive to alot of people. Why would you knowingly and needlessly want to offend people? There are a few Scriptures that I could quote if you want me to, but I don't want to come off super religious or judgemental.

i was more confused as to why you would want me to edit the verbage from the quote instead of just asking that i not quote things with potty-mouth to begin with. putting a little * or two or four doesn't some how make a cuss any less of a cuss.

i happen to like elvis impersonators a lot and was a bit offended by the original post, especially because it wished death upon total strangers making an honest living. that's much more offencive than words in the dictionary, or at least it should be.

Yeah, well, I have a problem with people wishing others dead too. I just happened to be responding to your question, "why?"

After reading these comments thread I wish I was dead.

Well, I'm glad you're not.

i'm sorry the word i quoted offended you. i really wasn't asking "why?" to be a jerk, i've just always been bugged by the censorship of "bad" words. it doesn't make any sense to me, so i wanted to understand, but the conversation just got off track. i'll refrain from using strong language in my comments on this blog.

I’m don’t think you are a jerk or even trying to be one. You are a great guy. I do have a differing opinion on strong language. If you want to read it, you can at:

I wish I knew how to do a link thingy, but I can't figure it out. Sorry.
